About Us

HISTORY

H2O Fitness Academy was set up to offer quality coaching to Surf Life Saving Athletes with the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club.

Our program was started informally many years ago by Gary Elliott who saw a need to offer swimming training to club members. Andrew and Carly Ridley took over the program from Gary in 2007 and in 2010 were joined by Nikki Rogers. Over the years the program has been run at many locations including Carine SHS, Craigie Leisure Centre, Greenwood SHS and local beaches.

Today the program has evolved to the H2O Fitness Academy and is run out of Craigie Leisure Centre and Carine Senior High School. The program is supported by the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club and managed by Carly Ridley. The program offers the opportunity for swimmers with a focus on surf life saving, triathlon and open water swimming to improve their stroke and build swim fitness.

The program is not a profit making enterprise, alternatively aims to offer a low-cost high-quality swimming coaching program. We aim to provide a swimming environment which provides members with a professional motivated and individually diverse coaching service. Our program offers economical swimming training (as little as $4.50 per session) that is accessible to swimmers of varying levels with varying goals and we promote FITNESS, FUN & FRIENDSHIP through involvement in our program.

Our coaches are all qualified and experienced and here to make your H2O Fitness experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
